Delivery & Returns

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This page explains TapSafe Vehicle's delivery, cancellation, return and faulty-product arrangements. Your statutory UK consumer rights still apply.

1. Order processing

After successful payment, TapSafe prepares the order, allocates and programs the NFC tag, and prepares it for dispatch. Customers receive an order confirmation and, where available, a dispatch email containing tracking information.

2. Delivery

Available delivery options, charges and any delivery estimates should be shown during checkout or otherwise communicated before the order is completed. Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact support@tapsafevehicle.co.uk as soon as possible if you notice an address error.

3. Your right to cancel

For qualifying online consumer purchases, UK law generally provides a 14-day cancellation period beginning after goods are received, subject to statutory exceptions. To exercise a cancellation right, contact us clearly at support@tapsafevehicle.co.uk.

If a product has been made to a customer's specifications or is clearly personalised, statutory cancellation rules may differ. We will not treat an ordinary programmed TapSafe tag as exempt from cancellation merely because it has been allocated a standard TapSafe Tag ID unless the law permits that treatment in the particular circumstances.

4. Returning a cancelled order

Where you validly cancel after receiving the goods, you will normally need to return them within the period required by law. We will provide return instructions when you contact us. Unless the goods are faulty, incorrect, or we agree otherwise, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning them where the law allows.

You should take reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession. Any lawful deduction for diminished value will only be made where permitted.

5. Refunds

Where a cancellation or return qualifies for a refund, we will make the refund using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and within the timeframe required by applicable consumer law. Delivery-cost refunds, where required, will be handled in accordance with those legal requirements.

6. Faulty, damaged or incorrect tags

If your TapSafe tag arrives damaged, does not function as reasonably expected, or you receive the wrong product, contact us at support@tapsafevehicle.co.uk with your order details and a description of the problem.

UK consumers have statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract. These may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and timing. Nothing on this page limits those rights.

7. NFC compatibility

TapSafe NFC tags require a compatible NFC-enabled device. A tag is not necessarily faulty merely because a particular device does not support NFC reading, has NFC disabled, or requires a different scanning position.

8. Lost tags after delivery

A tag that is lost, stolen or damaged after successful delivery is generally not treated as a product fault. Customers should use available TapSafe account controls to disable a lost tag where applicable and contact support if assistance is needed.

9. Undelivered orders

If an order has not arrived within the expected period, contact us with your order information and tracking number if available. We will investigate with the delivery provider and deal with the order in accordance with our contractual and statutory obligations.

10. How to contact us about a return

Email support@tapsafevehicle.co.uk and include your name, order email, order/reference details where available, the reason for contacting us, and whether the product has been received and/or activated.
